Hita Unnikrishnan is a post-doctoral research associate at Azim Premji University, Bengaluru. Her recently submitted doctoral thesis explores the specific vulnerabilities of the social ecological system represented by the urban lake commons in the south Indian megapolis of Bengaluru. Her work employs different methodologies and uses different frameworks for a study that spans different temporal and spatial scales. Hita has been a recipient of the Prof. Elinor Ostrom Fellowship on Practice and Policy on the Commons-2013. She has also done several radio-based outreach programs on BBC World Services and All India Radio regarding environmental issues in India.
