Grace Seetharam shares the recipe for a fond Bengali dish in this episode of Active Cooking. This traditional style brinjal dish is called ‘Bengali Baingan Bajji’. These brinjals become freshly available during the rainy season and people cook a variety of dishes using them.
Ingredients:
Kadalehittu
Onion seeds
Ginger-garlic paste
Cilli powder
Salt
Mix all the masala ingredients and keep aside for three hours. Later, slice the brinjals into round pieces and dip them in the paste. Fry in a pan using mustard oil. Mustard oil has many health benefits, and it helps reduce symptoms of cold during the rainy season. Enjoy the fried treats with piping hot tea!
