In this episode of Active Cooking, Shanthi is with us to prepare some lovely Palak Chutney. This recipe was taught to her by a friend. Shanthi is a double threat – she is a food-lover and also a good cook!
First, fry the jeera. Later, add in the tamarind and garlic, along with the green chilies to bring out a spicy taste. Temper the spiciness according to your preference.
Then, add in the tomato and add salt as per taste. Finally, add in the palak. Deep fry till done.
Add in the brinjal. Put a little more salt and a little more tamarind. Now, blend well in a mixer.
The dish is now done. Use this chutney as a dip, spread, or filling!
