In partnership with Hasirudala and Buguri Community Libraries, Radio Active CR 90.4 MHz is observing Read Aloud Festival 2020 all through the month of February. The activities under the fest will include school-based read aloud sessions, social media campaigns, and an all-day get-together featuring read alouds and other group activities. In this compilation post, we round up a few of the school sessions that were conducted in the city.
A Read Aloud session was organised for children at Shradanjali Integrated School (APD) as part of the Read Aloud Festival 2020. The story titled ‘Endu Naguviralilla’ was read aloud by RJ Manjula for children of standard V. In total, 15 children participated in the session. The story titled ‘Neenu Idannu Nodidiya’ was read aloud by RJ Vijaya for children of standard IV, in a session where 15 children were present.
Government Primary and Higher School, Thanisandra, hosted a Read Aloud session for its students as well. The Kannada version of the story titled ‘Aemanala Bag’ was read aloud by RJ Radha for children of standard V, 55 of whom were present.
Another school that participated in the Read Aloud Festival 2020 was VKO Government Higher Primary School, Shivajinagara. The story titled ‘Endu Naguviralilla’ was read aloud by RJ Usha for the children of standard IV at the school. In total, 80 children participated.
A Read Aloud session was organised for the children at Government Urdu Higher Primary School at Blackpally Shivajinagar. The story titled ‘Gappu Kunidalu ‘ was read aloud by RJ Vijaya for 20 children from standard V.
At the Read Aloud session organised for the children of Al Ameen Kambalposh Kannada Higher Primary & High School, the story titled ‘Endu Naguviralilla’ was read aloud by RJ Usha for 43 children from standard VI.
