In light of the lockdown, Radio Active is exploring simple and nutritious recipes that can be prepared at home with easily-available ingredients. Protection against COVID-19 requires a high level of immunity and it has been suggested that well-balanced, homemade food is the best recourse.
In this special episode, Asha shares the recipe for Brinjal Kara Kulambu.
First, make the seasoning using the kadalebele, jeera, methi seeds, and curry leaves. Later, add in the onions, turmeric powder, and chilli powder.
Then, add the tomatoes and allow the mix to boil for sometime.
Once the tomatoes are boiled, add in the chopped brinjal pieces. Add salt and water as required.
Top it with coriander leaves as garnish.
This brinjal dish can be served with chappati, ragi mudde (balls), or rotti.
